My Approach – “Living Gunk-Free”
My approach to health and wellness is all about living “gunk-free”. It’s simple – eat wholesome, natural, clean foods as much as possible and try to minimize the amount of processing and chemicals involved. Don’t give up the foods you love, just choose healthier versions of them. Don’t take yourself too seriously or be too hard on yourself, it’s all about balance. Take the time everyday to focus on you – breath and de-stress. Never “go on a diet” (that word has no place here), but instead commit to making healthier food and lifestyle choices that work for YOU! The gunk-free approach is about really tuning in to what you want (or don’t want) as an individual, and taking the steps to achieve your goals at your own pace and on your own terms. It’s about making choices that are right for you. It’s about learning simple, easy-to-follow habits that you can incorporate into your life, as you see fit. It’s about allowing yourself to be the boss of your own health and wellness plan. I live my life according to these principles, and I encourage you to do the same. In fact, I believe in it so strongly that I wrote a whole book about it called, “Get the Gunk Out: Simple Healthy Habits, Life Changing Results”.
Why I Do What I Do
As a former unhealthy, junk-a-holic, I understand what it’s like to be overweight, tired, and fearful. My personal struggles with debilitating anxiety, chronic fatigue and irritable bowel, is what led me to become a Certified Nutritionist and ultimately make the amazing changes that have led to my now healthy and vibrant life. My true passion comes from helping others make simple, yet profound changes in their own lives. My goal is help you master the confusion and overload of information out there, and work with you to create a life you truly love.
After receiving my Bachelor’s degree from York University, I took my passion to the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where I graduated with first class honors and obtained my Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) designation. I made it my mission to educate and help as many people as I could about the amazing, life-changing benefits that proper diet and healthy habits can have on our lives.
